Sewage system inspection/repair: library closed and services limited

From August 5-8 2024, the library’s sewage system will be inspected and possibly repaired. Because of this, most of the library building (including the public space) will be closed, and services will be limited.

To prepare for the library closure, the After Hours Study Room will be closed on Friday, August 2, remaining closed until the sewage system inspection/repairs are completed.

On August 8, 2024, the library is opened as follows: 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Patron Services in the After Hours Study Room, and 3 p.m. to 10 p.m. the whole library is opened but without Patron Services.

Between August 5-8, staff will be available from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the After Hours Study Room for:

• Registration, providing information, and checking out books
• Delivering, reserving, and helping you order books from both the closed and open stacks.
• Providing cash desk services (both cash and cashless payments will be possible).

While the library is closed, you will be able to order books usually available in the open stacks (in-person or online). However, orders for books that cannot be checked out, from the closed stacks, will be fulfilled only after the library reopens.

During this time, study spaces will not be available in the After Hours Study Room.

Returning books

During this period, use the BiblioBox near the NTK3 exit to return books. Note there may be a time delay between returning the book and when our staff are able to record an item’s been returned in our system, so plan ahead.

Online services will be available, including:

• Consultations (email, phone, Zoom or BBB; arranged after you submit a request to the consultation form),
• Email and phone inquiries, 232 002 535 (Monday from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. and Tuesday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.)

You will not be able to reserve team and individual study rooms from August 5-August 11, 2024. If you have already made a reservation and have a monthly rental, you will be given a refund based on the number of days you will not be able to use the study room. If you yourself cancel a daily or weekly reservations within 24 hours before the system is blocked (i.e., on Sunday, August 4), the rental fee will be returned not be withdrawn from your account.
